When to use steel strapping: You should use steel strapping when your pallet weighs more than 4000 lbs.
When to use polyester strapping: You should use polyester strapping when your pallet weights up to 2000 lbs.
When to use polypropylene strapping: You should use polypropylene strapping when you have moderate loads or up to 2000 lbs.
Polypropylene is the most economical type of plastic strap.
(Weight of Pallet x 1.5) / Number of Straps = Tensile Requirement of Strapping
**NOTE: The higher or heavier the pallet is, the more important it is to use HT weight, and more straps. the pallet height and/or the heavier the pallet weight, the more important the need becomes for either a higher tensile strapping or more straps.
